Ørum (Sønderlyng)
Ørum is a small Denmark, Danish town with a population of 1,493 (1 January 2025), The Mobile Statbank from Statistics Denmark on the road between Viborg, Denmark, Viborg and Randers. To distinguish it from other places in Denmark, it is referred to as ''Ørum Sønderlyng'' or sometimes ''Ørum Tjele''. Ørum was the former municipal seat for Tjele Municipality. In 2007, it was merged with other municipalities into Viborg Municipality. Tjele Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Tjele municipality was a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Viborg County on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 273 km2, and had a total population of 8,641 (2005). Its last mayor was Anna Margrethe Kaalund. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ørum. Tjele municipality ceased to exist as the result of ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Bjerringbro, Fjends, Karup, Møldrup, and Viborg municipalities to form an enlarged Viborg municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 1,390 km2 and a total population of 88,945 (2005). Central Denmark Region
The Central Denmark Region (), or more directly translated as the Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid-Jutland, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties (''amter'') and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favour of the local level and the national government in Copenhagen. The Central Denmark Region comprises 19 municipalities. Viborg Municipality
Viborg Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 1,421.04 km2, and has a population of 97,621 (1. January 2025). Søren Pape Poulsen was chosen as mayor again for a second term of office 2014–17, but before the first year of his second term had passed, he accepted an offer to become chairman of his party, and a new mayor had to be chosen among the municipal council members. Frank Hvam Nielsen, known professionally as Frank Hvam (born 12 September 1970) is a Danish stand-up-comedian. Hvam was born in Viborg and grew up on a farm in Ørum Sønderlyng. Martin Hoberg Hedegaard, also known as Saveus (born 9 October 1992), is a Danish singer, songwriter and record producer.
