İrem Karamete
İrem Karamete (born 20 June 1993) is a Turkish people, Turkish fencing, fencer who competed in the foil (fencing), foil event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, coming in 27th. Her mother, Nili Drori, fenced for Israel in the 1976 and 1984 Olympics, and won a team foil bronze medal in the 1974 Asian Games. Karamete won the Turkish Championship 10 times between 2011 and 2019, and won a bronze medal in the women's individual foil event at the 2022 Mediterranean Games. Karamete was the first Turkish fencer to qualify for the Fencing at the Summer Olympics, Olympics since 1984. Early life Karamete was born into a fencing family in Istanbul, Turkey. Hüsnü Özyeğin
Hüsnü Özyeğin (born 1 September 1944) is a Turkish billionaire businessman. He founded Finansbank in 1987 and later sold the Turkish division of the bank. Nowadays, his financial investments are managed under Fiba Holding while non-financial investments are managed under Fina Holding. Background The son of a doctor, Özyeğin was born in 1944 in İzmir, Turkey. He graduated from Robert College, in Istanbul in 1963, and has said that he went to the US with just a thousand dollars in his pocket. There, he studied civil engineering at Oregon State University. Tutya Yılmaz (born 4 June 1999 in Istanbul) is a Turkish female artistic gymnast who represented Turkey at the 2014 Youth Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2016, she was named Turkish Female Athlete of the Year. Early life Yılmaz was born in Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey in 1999, and started gymnastics at age 4. She attended Ekrem Elginkan High School in Istanbul. Altunizade is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Üsküdar, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 13,459 (2022). It is located on the Asian side of the city.
