The Örebro Läns Fotbollförbund ''(Örebro County Football Association)'' is one of the 24 district organisations of the Swedish Football Association. It administers lower tier football (soccer), football in Örebro County. Background Örebro Läns Fotbollförbund, commonly referred to as Örebro Läns FF, was founded in 1938 and is the governing body for football in the county of Örebro. The Association currently has 92 member clubs. Based in Örebro, the Association's Chairman is Raul Björk. Örebro
Örebro ( ; ) is the seventh-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Örebro Municipality, and capital of Örebro County. It is situated by the Närke Plain, near the lake Hjälmaren, a few kilometers inland along the small river Svartån, and has a population of approximately 126,000 in the city proper. It is one of the largest inland hubs of the country, and a major logistic and commercial operating site. Swedish Football District Associations
The Swedish football district associations are the local governing bodies of association football in Sweden. District FAs exist to govern all aspects of local football in their defined areas, providing grassroots support to the Swedish Football Association by promoting and administering football, futsal and beach soccer in their respective districts. Most of the 24 District FAs align roughly with the boundaries of the historic Provinces of Sweden, although Stockholm FA and Gothenburg FA cover the two major cities and their immediate conurbations. Swedish Football Division 8
The Swedish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Sweden which is controlled by the Swedish Football Association and consists of 288 teams in 22 leagues divided into five levels. Below those five levels, additional regional levels numbered six to ten exist but these lower leagues are controlled by the regional associations and not by the nationwide association. There is, however, promotion and relegation to and from all levels. there were a total of 2510 teams in the Swedish league system of which 299 of them were reserve teams. The competition There are 47 groups of 10 to 12 teams each representing a local geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 18 to 22 games depending on the number of teams. The top team in each Division 7 group is promoted to Division 6 and the second placed teams may also be promoted or participate in the promotion/relegation play-offs. Rynninge IK
Rynninge IK is a Swedish football club located in Rynninge in north-eastern Örebro. Background Rynninge Idrottsklubb were founded in 1932 and have concentrated on the sports of football and handball. The club now only participates in football but in the 1940s the club's handball team reached the quarterfinals of the Swedish Handball Championship. Since their foundation Rynninge IK has participated mainly in the middle divisions of the Swedish football league system and has hovered mostly between Divisions 3 and 4 although in recent years this has been replaced by Divisions 2 and 3.
