Éric Elmosnino
Éric Elmosnino (born 2 May 1964) is a French actor and musician. He is known internationally for portraying Serge Gainsbourg in '' Gainsbourg'', for which he won the César Award for Best Actor. He studied at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art. After leaving the Conservatory, he worked at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers with Jean-Pierre Vincent. In 1992 he played Christian Ribet, a friend of Guillaume de Tonquédec, in the film '' Tableau d'honneur'' (Honour Roll) by Charles Nemes. In 2006, he played in the theater as Edward Bond, directed by Alain Francon, at the Avignon Festival and the Théâtre de la Colline in Paris. In January 2008, he performed in a show at the Theatre Antoine in Paris for Yasmina Reza's ''God of Carnage''. Suresnes () is a commune in the western inner suburbs of Paris, France. Located in Hauts-de-Seine, from the centre of Paris, it had a population of 49,482 as of 2020. Suresnes borders the Bois de Boulogne in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, across the Seine. Its neighbouring communes are Nanterre, Puteaux, Rueil-Malmaison and Saint-Cloud. ''Bernie'' is a 1996 French film directed by Albert Dupontel. Plot It tells the story of Bernie Noël, a 29-year-old man who's been raised all his life in an orphanage in Paris' suburbs. He was found in a garbage can when he was only a few weeks old. His first name comes from the man who found him there (Bernie, the building's janitor) and his last name comes from the time of year when he was found (Noël, "Christmas" in French). At age 29, Bernie decides to leave the orphanage to explore a world that he knows only through television and what his friends have told him. On his own, roaming a Paris-by-night hostile environment, he goes through several madly epic adventures searching for his parents, before eventually finding them and "saving" them from an imaginary government conspiracy. ''Father of My Children'' () is a 2009 French drama film directed by Mia Hansen-Løve. It won the Jury Special Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. It is based in part on the life of the late Humbert Balsan. Plot Grégoire Canvel is a French film producer who has his own film company. Despite his luxurious country home, apartment in Paris and film company he is drowning in debt. Grégoire continues to take on more work despite his slate of current films continuing to rack up costs. Upon learning that he is 4 million euros in debt, that his catalogue of films, already mortgaged, is only worth less than a million euros and that his bank refuses to extend him any more credit, Grégoire burns his bills and shoots himself in the street.
