Éanna Basketball Club
Éanna Basketball Club is an Irish basketball club based in Dublin. The club's senior men's representative team, Griffith College Éanna, is currently a member of Ireland's top national league, the Super League. History Éanna Basketball was set up by ex Coláiste Éanna players in the division two Dublin Men's Basketball League in 2005. In 2009, Éanna amalgamated with the highly successful underage club Notre Dame, adding a junior programme which grew the club to 13 teams including the senior teams. The 2014–15 season saw the club enter a senior men's team into the National League for the first time; the team placed third in its first season. In 2015, the team was elevated into the Premier League. In 2018, the team was demoted to Division One. After winning the National League Division One in 2018–19, the team was promoted back into the Super League. Coláiste Éanna
Coláiste Éanna is a secondary school for boys under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust in Ballyroan, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1967 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers to serve the needs of the Ballyroan and adjacent parishes. It is home to 601 pupils and a staff of 43 teachers and eight ancillary staff. The school is administered by a Board of Management appointed by the Edmund Rice Schools Trust. The Irish Christian Brothers handed over ownership of Coláiste Éanna to the Trust in 2008. The school operates six formal years of teaching from first to sixth year including an optional Transition Year in fourth Year. Rathfarnham () is a Southside (Dublin), southside suburb of Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland in County Dublin. Templeogue Basketball Club is an Irish basketball club based in Dublin. The club has teams competing in Dublin Leagues and National Competitions, with the senior men's representative team, Griffith College Templeogue, playing in the Irish Super League. History Templeogue Basketball Club was established in 1976 by a group of Past Pupils from Templeogue College. It was not until 2012 that a senior men's team entered one of Ireland's national competitions. For the 2012–13 season, Templeogue entered the National League Division 1 and made their debut on 29 September 2012 against Ulster Elks. Killester Basketball Club is an Irish basketball club based in Dublin. The club's senior men's and women's representative teams, Pyrobel Killester, both play in Ireland's top national leagues with their home stadium being IWA Sports Hall in Clontarf. History The club was established in 1967 by Michael Casey. In 1973, Killester was an inaugural team in the Irish National League. Between 1975 and 1977, the team won three championships in a row. Super League (also known as the Betfred Super League for sponsorship reasons, and legally Super League Europe Ltd.) is a professional rugby league competition, and the highest level of the British rugby league system, which consists of twelve teams, eleven from Northern England, the sport's heartland, and one from southern France. Super League began in 1996, replacing the Rugby Football League Championship First Division, First Division, and switching from a winter to a summer season.
