Coláiste Éanna
Coláiste Éanna is a secondary school for boys under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust in Ballyroan, Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1967 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers to serve the needs of the Ballyroan and adjacent parishes. It is home to 601 pupils and a staff of 43 teachers and eight ancillary staff. The school is administered by a Board of Management appointed by the Edmund Rice Schools Trust. The Irish Christian Brothers handed over ownership of Coláiste Éanna to the Trust in 2008. The school operates six formal years of teaching from first to sixth year including an optional Transition Year in fourth Year. Every year is divided up into three or four classes with a maximum of 27 students per class in Junior Cycle and 20 in Senior Cycle. Pádraig or Pádraic ( , ), also Pádhraig or Pádhraic ( , ), are Irish male given names deriving from the Latin ''Patricius'', meaning "of the patrician class", introduced via the name of Saint Patrick. The name is often anglicised as its English language equivalent Patrick or phonetically, e.g. Pauric. Graham Shaw (field Hockey)
Graham Shaw (born 1978) is a former Ireland men's field hockey international and the current coach of the New Zealand women's national field hockey team. Between 2002 and 2009 he made 151 appearances for Ireland and also represented them at the 2007 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship. As a coach he guided the Ireland women to the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup final, winning the silver medal. As a player Shaw won Irish Senior Cup and EuroHockey Club Trophy titles with both Glenanne and Monkstown. On 9 May 2010 Shaw featured in two Irish Senior Cup finals on the same day, coaching Loreto to victory in the women's final before going onto play for Glenanne in the men's final. Paul Ryan (hurler)
Paul Ryan (born 3 November 1988) is an Irish hurler who plays as a full-forward for the Dublin senior team. Born in Dublin, Ryan first played competitive hurling with the combined Dublin Colleges team, winning an All-Ireland medal in 2006. He simultaneously came to prominence at juvenile and underage levels with the Ballyboden St Enda's club, winning a minor championship medal in 2006. Ryan subsequently joined the Ballyboden St Enda's senior team and has since won six county senior championship medals. Ryan made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he was selected for the Dublin minor team. He enjoyed one unsuccessful championship season with the minor team. Colin Moran (Gaelic Footballer)
Colin "Collie" Moran (born 6 June 1980) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Dublin county team. He was captain of the Leinster Senior Football Championship-winning Dublin teams in 2006 and 2007. Playing career Moran made his senior inter-county debut in October 1998. He plays his club football for Ballyboden St Enda's. Moran broke his arm in a 2004 challenge match against Limerick in between two Championship games. Moran was on the winning side for Leinster against Ulster in the 2005 Railway Cup and repeated the feat, as captain, against Connacht in 2006 in Canton, Boston. He also represented Ireland in the International Rules Series against Australia. Moran retired on 22 April 2009 as a result of a hip injury. Dave Mooney
David Mooney (born 30 October 1984) is an Irish footballer who has played for several clubs in Ireland and the United Kingdom. As of 2019, he was playing as a striker for Leinster Senior League side Lucan United. Club career Shamrock Rovers Mooney joined Shamrock Rovers, his first senior club, in 2000, while he was a pupil in Coláiste Éanna, in Dublin. He scored in every round when Rovers' won the U17 All Ireland title against Kingdom Boys in 2002. Mooney made his first team debut coming on as a sub against Longford Town on 6 April 2004. His first goal came on 24 June 2004 against Dublin City. In his fifteen months in the first team, he scored nine goals in 40 total appearances. Niall J. Mellon (born 1967) is an Irish entrepreneur, charity Chief Executive and property developer who founded the ''Niall Mellon Township Trust'' to provide homes to impoverished communities in South Africa's townships. Paul McGinley
Paul Noel McGinley (born 16 December 1966) is an Irish professional golfer who has won four events on the European Tour. At the 2002 Ryder Cup, he famously holed a ten-foot putt on the 18th hole in his match against Jim Furyk at The Belfry which won the Ryder Cup for Europe. He was the winning captain of Europe in the 2014 Ryder Cup and the first Irishman to captain Europe's Ryder Cup side. George Lee (journalist)
George Lee (born 27 September 1962) is an Irish economist, journalist, television and radio presenter, and former Fine Gael politician. He has worked for RTÉ since 1992. Since 2019, he has been Environment Correspondent for RTÉ News. He previously was Economics Editor in 1996. Lee left RTÉ and became a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South constituency in June 2009, winning a by-election with a 53.4% majority and was referred to as a "celebrity TD". Brendan Leahy
Brendan Leahy (born 28 March 1960) is an Irish Roman Catholic prelate and theologian who has served as Bishop of Limerick since 2013. Early life Leahy was born in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, on 28 March 1960, the third of four children to Maurice and Treasa Leahy, both of whom originated in west County Kerry and were primary school principals in Dublin. His father taught for a year in Athea, County Limerick, in the 1940s, while as a child, he spent long periods of the year living in Ballyferriter, County Kerry. Sean Hughes (comedian)
Sean Hughes (10 November 1965 – 16 October 2017) was a British-born Irish comedian, writer and actor. He starred in his own Channel 4 television show '' Sean's Show'' and was one of the regular team captains on the BBC Two musical panel game ''Never Mind the Buzzcocks''. Early life Hughes was born the middle boy in a family of three boys in Whittington Hospital in Archway, North London. His mother was from Cork and his father from Dublin.
