Ásgerður Júníusdóttir
Ásgerður Júníusdóttir (born 26 September 1968) is an Icelandic singer, mezzo-soprano, and performer who has performed on stage and released music in Iceland and abroad. Biography Ásgerður Júníusdóttir, mezzo-soprano, has appeared as a singer and actress in Iceland and abroad. In her career she has focused on 20th- and 21st-century Icelandic music and premiered works by contemporary composers, including Jórunn Viðar, Atli Heimir Sveinsson, Haukur Tómasson, Karólína Eiríksdóttir, and Ragnhildur Gísladóttir, as well as worked with different music ensembles such as the English Brodsky Quartet. She has released three CDs on the Smekkleysa label. Her first two Minn heimur og þinn (Tapestry of dreams, 2001), which contains songs and poems by Icelandic women and Í rökkri (At Twilight, 2006), containing songs by Magnús Blöndal Jóhannsson, were both nominated for the Icelandic Music Award. Sigtryggur Baldursson (born 2 October 1962) is an Icelandic drummer and singer. Sigtryggur was born in Norway to Icelandic parents. Jóhann Gunnar Jóhannsson (; 19 September 1969 – 9 February 2018) was an Icelandic composer who wrote music for a wide array of media including theatre, dance, television, and film. His work is stylised by its blending of traditional orchestration with contemporary electronic elements. Jóhann released solo albums from 2002 onward. In 2016, he signed with Deutsche Grammophon, through which he released his last solo album, '' Orphée''. Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson (; born 23 April 1958), also known as HÖH, is a musician, an art director, and '' allsherjargoði'' (''chief goði'') of Ásatrúarfélagið ("the Ásatrú Association"). Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson was a pioneer in the use of computers when composing music and cleared the path for new ideas in recording and arrangements. The Volksbühne ("People's Theatre") is a theater in Berlin. Located in Berlin's city center Mitte on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (Rosa Luxemburg Square) in what was the GDR's capital. It has been called Berlin's most iconic theatre. The Reykjavík Arts Festival is an art festival that takes place in Reykjavík every other year. It was founded in 1970 and was biennial from the beginning, but in the years 2005–2016 it was held annually. Since 2016, the festival has again become a biennial event. Bertil Palmar Johansen (born 18 February 1954) is a Norway, Norwegian contemporary composer and violinist. Johansen was born in Brattvåg. He studied violin at the Trøndelag Music Conservatory (today the Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet, NTNU) and took composition classes with Per Hjort Albertsen, Holger Prytz and Olav Anton Thommessen. Jazz
