Governance

Elections to Tandridge District Council are held in three out of every four years, with one third of the 42 seats on the council being elected at each election. From the first election in 1973 to 1990 the
Conservative party The Conservative Party is a name used by many political parties around the world. These political parties are generally right-wing though their exact ideologies can range from center-right to far-right. Political parties called The Conservative P ...
controlled the council, but for most of the 1990s no party had a majority. This changed at the 2000 election when the Conservatives regained a majority. In 2019, Tandridge Council entered No Overall Control. As of the 2022 election the council is composed of the following councillors:-
