Tejaswini Manogna was born on 19 May 1994 in the city of Hyderabad of present-day Telangana, India. She did her schooling at the Rosary Convent High School and was a member of the

, a youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. At the age of 16, she was adjudged as 'India's Best NCC Cadet' and 'Best Shooter' among 1.3 million cadets of the Indian Air Force, Army and Navy.
