Swedish Dance Music Awards (also known as Gilbey's Swedish Dance Music Awards and ZTV Dance Music Awards) was a Swedish
dance music Dance music is music composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing. It can be either a whole musical piece or part of a larger musical arrangement. In terms of performance, the major categories are live dance music and recorded da ...
award that started in 1990 by John Wallin (Pitch Control) and Jonas Siljemark (Siljemark Production). At that time Swedish dance artists had no national media exposure compared to the massive coverage they were receiving internationally.
