Antiloop
Antiloop were a Swedish electronic dance music duo, formed in Lidingö in 1994 by David Westerlund and Robin Söderman. They won two Swedish Grammis Awards and six Swedish Dance Music Awards. Biography Early career (1974–1994) Robin Staffan Mark Söderman (born 22 January 1974) and David Olof Westerlund (born 8 July 1977) both grew up in Lidingö in Stockholm, Sweden. Robin's father and uncle were musicians and helped grow his interest. . David started play synth at an age of four and later played in a big band jazz at youth age. Söderman started a band and invited his childhood friend Westerlund, along with some other that he knew. The other members left the band and it was only Westerlund and Söderman left. In My Mind (Antiloop Song)
"In My Mind" is a song by the Swedish electronic dance music duo Antiloop. It was released on 31 March 1997 by Stockholm Records and Fluid Records in Sweden, and Polydor Records in Europe, as the lead single from their debut studio album, ''LP'' (1997). It's the duo's most successful single, reaching number four in Norway and selling over 200 000 copies in France. It won a Swedish Dance Music Awards for "Best Dance Single" in February 1998. Composition The ambient intro in the beginning is taken from "Hold That Sucker Down (Builds Like a Skyscraper)" (1994) by The O.T. Quartet, real name Rollo Armstrong, famous for one of the founding member of the electronic music group Faithless. The text "In My Mind", which is also the only text in the song, is taken from "Warehouse (Days of Glory)" (1989) by New Deep Societys. Swedish Dance Music Awards
Swedish Dance Music Awards (also known as Gilbey's Swedish Dance Music Awards and ZTV Dance Music Awards) was a Swedish dance music award that started in 1990 by John Wallin (Pitch Control) and Jonas Siljemark (Siljemark Production). At that time Swedish dance artists had no national media exposure compared to the massive coverage they were receiving internationally. Wallin and Siljemark felt that the home market of such successful artists didn't give the respect the artists deserved. That is how they came up with the idea of the Swedish Dance Music Awards. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years. Swedish artists and foreign artists who live in Sweden are eligible, as are artists in other countries if their music is produced in Sweden and targets a Swedish audience. "Doctor Jones" is a song by Danish dance-pop group Aqua. Released as the band's fourth single overall, it was the follow-up to their most successful song "Barbie Girl" in many regions. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. Aqua is a Danish-Norwegian Europop and Dance-pop band, best known for their 1997 multi-platinum crossover and novelty single "Barbie Girl". The group formed in 1989 as Joyspeed, and achieved international success around the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band released three albums: '' Aquarium'' in 1997, ''Aquarius'' in 2000 and '' Megalomania'' in 2011. The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most profitable Danish band ever. The group managed to top the UK Singles Chart with three of their singles.
