History

Seaforth was originally called Okawa, and under the latter name was

ted in 1894. The present name is after Loch Seaforth, in Scotland. Seaforth was incorporated in 1900. A post office called Seaforth was established in 1899, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1995.
