or a winger for V.League 1 club Thép Xanh Nam Định and the Vietnam national team. Nguyễn Văn Toàn joined Hoang Anh Gia Lai–Arsenal JMG Academy in 2007. He made his first-team debut for HAGL against Khanh Hoa in January 2015. Văn Toàn made his senior international debut for Vietnam in 2016 at age 20, and has since earned over 51 caps.

Văn Toàn made his debut for Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC on 4 January 2015, coming on as a second–half substitute in a 4–2 home win over Sana Khanh Hoa in V.League 1.

Seoul E-Land FC

On 4 January 2023, Văn Toàn joined K League 2 side Seoul E-Land. On 1 March, he was part of the starting lineup in a K2 League match against Chungbuk Cheongju, his first ever league appearance.

International career
