Chindōgu

Chindōgu is the Japanese art of inventing ingenious everyday gadgets that, on the face of it, seem like an ideal solution to a particular problem. It was first developed by Akira Yoshizawa in 1954. It was later improved upon by Samuel Randlett and Robert Harbin. ;Textboard : Textboards like imageboards were invented in Japan. However, unlike imageboards, textboards are relatively unknown outside Japan.
