Early life

Born in Cadillac, Michigan, Campbell graduated from high school at Pine River Area Schools and received a Bachelor of Applied Arts in theater at

and a Master of Arts in theater at Wayne State University. In 2005, Campbell returned to Central Michigan University to serve as the grand marshal of the homecoming parade.
