Robert Edward "Bob" Wood (born February 20, 1959) is an American author, teacher and activist. As a 26-year-old high school history teacher from Kalamazoo, Michigan, (though teaching in Seattle, Washington at the time), he wrote the 1988 best selling book ''Dodger Dogs to Fenway Franks''. In June 2008, the sports blog, Baseball Musings, wrote a story commemorating the 20th anniversary of ''Dodger Dogs to Fenway Franks''. Wood resides in Grand Haven, Michigan. Tiger Stadium, previously known as Navin Field and Briggs Stadium, was a multi-purpose stadium located in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. The stadium was nicknamed "The Corner" for its location at the intersection of Michigan and Trumbull Avenues. Jimmy Dean Foods is a food company that was founded in 1969 by country singer and actor Jimmy Dean. It was purchased by Sara Lee, which then divested as part of a unit known as Hillshire Brands, which was later purchased by Tyson Foods. History Dean founded the Jimmy Dean Sausage brand of breakfast sausage, which was originally called "Pure Pork Sausage."
