Thanks to his strong performances at the PTC events he was able to retain his tour card for the 2011/12 season, despite finishing only 80th in the world rankings.
Due to the lack of sponsorship Figueiredo only entered qualifying for one ranking event of the next season, the
2012 World Championship, where he won three matches, before losing 7–10 to
