Nomenclature

''η Cassiopeiae'' ( Latinised to ''Eta Cassiopeiae'') is the system's Bayer designation. The designations of the two constituents as ''Eta Cassiopeiae A'' and ''B'' derive from the convention used by the Washington Multiplicity Catalog (WMC) for star systems, and adopted by the
