At the 2010 census, there were 68,681 people, 26,531 households, and 18,552 families living in the county. The population density was . There were 30,297 housing units at an average density of . The racial makeup of the county was 55.9% white, 41.6% black or African American, 0.3% Asian, 0.3% American Indian, 0.9% from other races, and 1.1% from two or more races.
