played their home games at Coors Field. After doing reasonably well most of the season and even posting a 54-53 (.505) record as late as August 3, they collapsed through the months of August and September, going an MLB-worst 21-34 in that span to finish 75-87, third place in the National League West, and missing the playoffs for the seventh consecutive season. At the end of the season Walt Weiss resigned his position as manager after 4 seasons at the helm.
