Proteza Koniecpolska
The "Proteza koniecpolska" (literally "Koniecpol prosthesis") is a colloquial term for a rail project in Poland completed in 2013 to give Częstochowa improved connections with Warsaw, Wrocław and Opole using existing rail lines. The link connected two already modernized major trunk lines the Central Rail Line (Poland), Central Rail Line near Włoszczowa and the Bytom-Wrocław railway line, PKP rail line 132 near Opole by tracks modernized for speeds up to 120 and 140 km/h, running through the Częstochowa Stradom railway station. This decreased travel times between Warszawa Centralna railway station, Warszawa Centralna and Wrocław Główny railway station from over 5 hours to 3:45. Wrocław–Poznań Railway
The Wrocław–Poznań railway is a Polish railway line, that connects southern Poland and Wrocław with Leszno, Poznań and further to Szczecin. The railway is part of European TEN-T route E59 from Scandinavia to Vienna, Budapest and Prague. Opening In 1853 a decision was made to build a railway line connecting Wrocław with Poznań. It obtained the concession for the construction Upper Silesian Railway (Oberschlesische Eisenbahn Gesellschaft), and construction started in Leszno, in three directions: to Wrocław, Poznań and Głogów. Częstochowa Railway Station
Częstochowa railway station is one of two major railway stations in Częstochowa, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, the other station being Częstochowa Stradom. Since 2015 it has been operating as a “P” (premium) category station in the PKP classification. In 2018, the station served approximately 10,000 passengers a day. Wrocław Główny is the largest and most important passenger train station in the city of Wrocław, in southwestern Poland. Situated at the junction of several important routes, it is the largest railway station in the Lower Silesia Voivodeship, as well as in Poland in terms of the number of passengers serviced.
