Malcolm Offord
Malcolm Ian Offord, Baron Offord of Garvel (born 5 September 1964) is a Scottish financier and Scottish Conservatives, Conservative Party politician in the House of Lords and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland. Early life and career Offord was born in Greenock, in September 1964. He was educated at Ardgowan Primary School and Greenock Academy, and graduated in Law from the University of Edinburgh. Offord worked for six years from 1987 until 1993 at the merchant bank Lazard, in the Corporate Finance department specialising in mergers and acquisitions. In 1994, he began his private equity investing career with 3i, 3i plc followed by two years at Bankers Trust of New York where he was managing director of European Acquisition Finance. In 1998, he joined Charterhouse Capital Partners as a partner and remained there for sixteen years, investing four European private equity funds before retiring as senior partner in December 2013. Offord D'Arcy
Offord D'Arcy is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Offord Cluny and Offord D'Arcy. It is north of St Neots and south-west of Huntingdon. Offord D'Arcy is in Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as a historic county of England. It is the twin village of Offord Cluny and together they are known as The Offords. Historically both villages had their own Parish councils in England, parish councils but the two civil parishes were merged on 1 April 2010.The Huntingdonshire (Parishes) Order 2009
