National Speed Limit
A speed limit is the limit of speed allowed by law for road vehicles, usually the maximum speed allowed. Occasionally, there is a minimum speed limit. Advisory speed limits also exist, which are recommended but not mandatory speeds. Speed limits are commonly set by the legislative bodies of national or local governments. Overview The following tables show various jurisdictions' default speed limits (where applicable) that apply to different types of vehicles travelling on three different types of road. Actual speed limits may range beyond these values. Speeds are listed in kilometres per hour unless otherwise stated. The enforcement tolerance is specified in km/h or percentage above the stated limit. For the United Kingdom and the United States, the speed limit is still listed in miles per hour. Otoyol 31, named the İzmir-Aydın Motorway ( tr, İzmir-Aydın Otoyolu) or just the Aydın Motorway and abbreviated as the O-31 is a long toll motorway in western Turkey. Beginning at an intersection with İzmir Beltway, the O-31 runs south from İzmir to Aydın and parallels the D550 for most of its route. Plans to extend the O-31 further to Denizli and Burdur have been finalized and the tender is expected to be awarded on 18 September 2018. Otoyol 3 ( en, Motorway 3), also known as the European Motorway ( tr, Avrupa Otoyolu) and abbreviated as the O-3 is a long otoyol in East Thrace, Turkey. The O-3 runs from Edirne to Istanbul and is the only motorway in Turkey located entirely in Europe. The motorway begins west of Edirne at a junction with the where it then continues as a beltway passing just north of Edirne. Otoyol 33, O-33 or North Aegean Motorway ( tr, Kuzey Ege Otoyolu) and abbreviated as the O-33 is a long toll motorway in western Turkey.Beginning at an intersection with İzmir Beltway, the O-33 runs north from Çiğli to Bergama and parallels the D550 for most of its route. History On 15 February 2017 the tender to construct the motorway was awarded to a consortium of three companies, IC İçdaş, Kalyon and Astaldi. Like other otoyol projects in Turkey, the tender was awarded under a build-operate-transfer contract until 2027. Ankara-Tarsus Otoyolu ( en, Ankara-Tarsus Motorway), is a completed toll motorway in the Central Anatolia and Mediterranean regions in Turkey. Currently, it is connecting Otoyol 20 from Gölbaşı, Ankara with the Adana-Mersin Motorway O-51 at Tarsus in Mersin Province. On its full length, it is part of the European E90. Otoyol 7
The Otoyol 7 (O-7; English: Motorway 7), or Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu, is a toll motorway that bypasses Istanbul to the north. The motorway is 243km in length between the Kınalı junction and the Akyazı junction, and is 8 lanes wide (4+4 lanes). The completed section of highway crosses the Bosphorus Strait via the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which was opened in August 2016. The route is intended to serve as the outermost beltway of Istanbul as well as being the third road crossing of the Bosphorus. The route stretches from ''Silivri'', on the European side, to ''Akyazı'' on the Asian side. Connections to the O-4 as well as both the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges will be built as the Northern Marmara Motorway and will bypass Istanbul to the north.
