Moodorama
Moodorama is a German electronic music collective from Regensburg. Formed in 1998, Moodorama's music is influenced by jazz, lounge music, bossa nova and house music. The members of the group include Martin Sennebogen, Kerstin Huber, Bernhard Frank, Marco Köstler and Mario Malzer. As of 2007, Moodorama has its own record label ''music for collapsing people''. Regensburg
Regensburg or is a city in eastern Bavaria, at the confluence of the Danube, Naab and Regen rivers. It is capital of the Upper Palatinate subregion of the state in the south of Germany. Mole Listening Pearls
Mole Listening Pearls is a German record label based in Mannheim. From 1996 till 2003 it was owned by UCMG; in 2004 Mole Listening Pearls was overtaken by Daredo Music. The name "Mole" is from the novel "Neuromancer" in which mole is a kind of computer virus. Since 1996 various artists of electronic music, like Alphawezen, Bassface Sascha, De-Phazz, Lemongrass, moodorama, Naomi, Wax Tailor, Barbara Lahr, Yonderboi and Zagar have been released on this label. The first records were compilations. On "Science Jazz Vol. 1", arranged by the Zurich DJ Minus 8, you could find artists like Nightmares on Wax, LTJ Bukem and Lamb, on "Breaking The Ice" you can find, among others, Kruder & Dorfmeister and Red Snapper. Shadow Records was launched in 1995 as an Instinct Records sub-label to focus on the more organic side of the underground electronic music scene. The label's first release in 1995 defined this approach with ''Abstrackt Workshop'', which featured performances by DJ Krush, Funki Porcini, and Marden Hill in addition to songs from the such cutting edge labels as ''Pussyfoot'' and ''Yellow Productions''. The next step included a 2-year involvement with the incredible UK beats label Ninja Tune. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music. Lounge music is a type of easy listening music popular in the 1950s and 1960s. Bossa nova () is a style of samba developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is mainly characterized by a "different beat" that altered the harmonies with the introduction of unconventional chords and an innovative syncopation of traditional samba from a single rhythmic division. The "bossa nova beat" is characteristic of a samba style and not of an autonomous genre. According to the Brazilian journalist Ruy Castro, the bossa beat – which was created by the drummer Milton Banana – was "an extreme simplification of the beat of the samba school", as if all instruments had been removed and only the tamborim had been preserved.
