John Lind (female Impersonator)
John Lind (1877–1940), born with the surname Lindström, was a Swedish female impersonator, singer and dancer. Although mostly forgotten today, he toured the world in the early 20th century and was one of Sweden's most internationally famed artists. __TOC__ Early life John Lindström was born in the small town Vissefjärda, but grew up in Karlskrona. The local director of theatre, Hildur Carlsberg, helped the young Lind get a place at the Alhambra variety theatre in Stockholm. ''Tilia'' is a genus of about 30 species of trees or bushes, native throughout most of the temperateness, temperate Northern Hemisphere. The tree is known as linden for the European species, and basswood for North American species. Arvi Kullervo Lind (born December 21, 1940) is a retired Finnish television news presenter. He worked as the news anchor on Yleisradio TV1 from 1965 to 2003. Along with Kari Toivonen, he was one of the longest-serving employees of Yleisradio news. Lind was born in Lauritsala. His career as a reporter in Yleisradio TV news began on October 15, 1965. His last news broadcast was on Wednesday, October 15, 2003, at 20:30 EEST, and he retired from his work at the beginning of year 2004. The farewell broadcast was seen by over 1.6 million viewers. Since then, he has lectured about his work in universities, and in 2005, the newspaper ''Keskisuomalainen'' appointed him as their reader ombudsman. Grete Natzler
Grete Natzler (19 June 1906 – 10 June 1999) was an Austrian actress and operatic soprano. Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of actress Lilli Meißner and actor and opera singer Leopold Natzler (1860–1926). Two of her younger sisters were also actors and singers. Her sister, Alice Maria ('Lizzi'), performed under the stage name of Litzie Helm, and Hertha Natzler performed under her own name. Grete began her career on the stage in her native country and in Germany as a performer in operettas.
