Elsa Margarita Noguera de la Espriella (born 30 September 1973) is a Colombian politician. She was the vice presidential nominee for the Radical Change in 2010, and in 2012 she was elected mayor of Barranquilla, the capital of Atlantico. She later served as the Minister of Housing, City and Territory. In 2020 she was elected the governor of the Atlantico Department, where Barranquilla is located. Fuad Ricardo Char Abdala (born 5 October 1937) is a Senator of Colombia serving his fifth term in Congress, albeit not all consecutively. He is the founder of . Carlos Enrique Rodado Noriega (born 20 September 1943) is a Colombian engineer and politician currently serving as Ambassador of Colombia to Argentina. He served as the 28th and 9th Minister of Mines and Energy of Colombia, first in the administration of President Julio César Turbay Ayala and again in the administration of President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón. Alejandro Char Chaljub (born 16 April 1966), commonly known as Álex Char, is a Colombian politician. He served two terms as Mayor of Barranquilla from 2008 to 2011 and 2016 to 2019. A civil engineer and member of the Radical Change Party, he was councilor for the Liberal Party in 1997 and in 2000 ran for the Governorship of the Department of Atlántico. Roberto Víctor Gerlein Echeverría (18 November 1938 – 23 December 2021) was a Colombian lawyer and politician. A Colombian Conservative Party, Conservative party politician, he was the longest-serving and most senior Member of the Senate of Colombia having been first elected in 1974. Atlántico Department
Atlántico (, en, Atlantic) is a department of Colombia, located in northern Colombia with the Caribbean Sea to its north, the Bolívar Department to its west and south separated by the Canal del Dique, and the Magdalena Department to its east separated by the Magdalena River. It is the third-smallest of the country's departments but its population of 2,535,517 makes it one of the most densely populated. Its capital is Barranquilla.
