The Badgujar / Bargujar / Badgurjar is a clan of Rajputs. History The Bargujars ruled over Rajorgarh, Dausa, Deoti and Ghasira, Macheri. They were expelled from Dausa, Rajorgarh and Deoti by Kachhwaha Rajputs when they migrated to Dhundhar, in 11th century Rao Dula Rai, won the areas of Dausa and Deoti from the Badgujar Rajputs, were reduced to feudetory or jagirdars and also subdued Meenas to establish Amer. In 18th century Surajmal with the help of Mughal wazir took the Bargujar stronghold of Ghasera from its ruler Bahadur Singh Badgurjar which was again recovered by Bahadur Singh's son with the help of Imad ul MulK. Raja Pratap Singh
Raja Pratap Singh was the founder Raja of Barauli, in the Aligarh district. He was chief of Bargujar Rajput clan and close associate of Prithiviraj Chauhan, who founded his kingdom with capital at Barauli near Bulandshahar after defeating the Meos from Pahasu, Dibai and Anupshahr. He belonged to the Bargujar rulers of Macheri near Alwar and was invited by Prithviraj Chauhan to this area. Ghasera Fort is a ruined fort in Ghasera village in Nuh district of Haryana state in northern India, which has been notified as a protected monument by the state government. Currently, the majority of the residents of the village are Muslim Meos, though Hindus also live there. History The ruined Ghasera Fort lies at Ghasera village from Nuh city on Nun-Sohna highway. The Kachhwaha or Kachawa is a Rajput clan found primarily in India. Sometimes families within the clan ruled a number of kingdoms and princely states, such as Jaipur, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Alwar and Maihar. Anup Rai
Raja Anup Rai (Singh Dalan) was a Rajput nobleman of Bargujar ancestry in seventeenth century India, and a courtier of the Mughal emperor, Jahangir. He was also known as ''Singh Dalan'' (''lion crusher'') for intercepting a lion that was on verge of attacking the emperor during a royal hunt. The lion hunt The royal party went on a hunt on or around January 6, 1611. Jahangir dismounted from his horse and fired his musket at a lion during the hunt, but only wounded the animal. The lion began to advance on Jahangir, but Rai confronted the animal instead, armed with nothing but a stick. He "''manfully faced him and struck him twice with both hands on the head''."
