All-time Allsvenskan Table
Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Allsvenskan is currently ranked third highest of the leagues in Scandinavia after Norway and Denmark. The current champions are BK Häcken, who won the title in the 2022 season. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. This process can continue through several levels of divisions, with teams being exchanged between adjacent divisions. Swedish football champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i fotboll) is a title held by the winners of the highest Sweden, Swedish football (soccer), football league played each year, Allsvenskan. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 22 Swedish championships. After winning the 2021 Allsvenskan, Malmö FF are also the reigning Swedish football champions. The title has been contested since 1896 in varying forms of competition. The first Swedish Champions, Örgryte IS, were declared in 1896 when the club won the cup tournament Svenska Mästerskapet. The 1924–25 Allsvenskan, part of the 1924–25 Swedish football season, was the inaugural season of Sweden's new first-tier football league, replacing Svenska Serien, which had been the name of the top tier since 1910. The first match was played on 3 August 1924 and the last match was played on 7 June 1925. GAIS won the league ahead of runners-up IFK Göteborg, while Västerås IK and Hammarby IF were relegated.
