In database management, an aggregate function or aggregation function is a function where multiple values are processed together to form a single summary statistic. Monte Carlo Method
Monte Carlo methods, or Monte Carlo experiments, are a broad class of computational algorithms that rely on repeated random sampling to obtain numerical results. The underlying concept is to use randomness to solve problems that might be deterministic in principle. The name comes from the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco, where the primary developer of the method, mathematician Stanisław Ulam, was inspired by his uncle's gambling habits. Monte Carlo methods are mainly used in three distinct problem classes: optimization, numerical integration, and generating draws from a probability distribution. Evolutionary Programming
Evolutionary programming is an evolutionary algorithm, where a share of new population is created by mutation of previous population without crossover. Evolutionary programming differs from evolution strategy ES(\mu+\lambda) in one detail. All individuals are selected for the new population, while in ES(\mu+\lambda), every individual has the same probability to be selected. It is one of the four major evolutionary algorithm paradigms. A complex system is a system composed of many components that may interact with one another. Game theory is the study of mathematical models of strategic interactions.
