Rally Evolved
''WRC: Rally Evolved'' (also known as ''WRC 5'' and ''WRC 2005'') is a racing video game for the PlayStation 2 and was released only in Europe on 28 October 2005. It is the fourth rallying game to be officially licensed by the FIA World Rally Championship and the last to be developed by Evolution Studios. The game is based on the 2005 WRC season. Gameplay ''Rally Evolved'' is a significant update to the series. A notable change is the "random event" engine in the game, which creates random hazards which the player must navigate as they drive the course. These random events can be anything from rockfalls from cliffs above, animals on the track or even rivers or pipes spilling water on the road surface, making it slippery. Evolution Studios
Evolution Studios Ltd. was a British video game developer based in Runcorn, Cheshire. The company was founded in 1999 by Martin Kenwright and Ian Hetherington, following the purchase of their studio Digital Image Design's publisher Ocean Software by Infogrames. Kenwright then left Digital Image Design with six members of staff to form Evolution Studios. ''PlayStation World (PSW)'' was a monthly video games magazine that covered the PlayStation brand. The pages were featured news, previews, reviews and letter pages. It was launched in 2000, published by Computec Media. The magazine had a circulation of 17,132 along with a readership of 210,000. The UK portion of Computec Media was acquired by Future Publishing in 2003, with the title added to Future's portfolio. FIA World Rally Championship (2010 Video Game)
The World Rally Championship (abbreviated as WRC) is the highest level of global competition in the motorsport discipline of rallying, owned and governed by the FIA. There are separate championships for drivers, co-drivers, manufacturers and teams. The series currently consists of 13 three to four-day rally events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. Each rally is usually split into 15–25 special stages which are run against the clock on up to 350 kilometres of closed roads. ''PSM3'' (short for ''PlayStation 3 Magazine'') was a video game magazine specializing in all Sony video game consoles and handheld gaming platforms. It was published by Future plc, a UK-based publishing company. ''Play'' is a monthly magazine produced by Future Publishing in the United Kingdom, which reports on Sony's PlayStation product range. It had been published by Imagine Publishing but closed in 2016. It was resurrected as a replacement for the official UK PlayStation magazine in May 2021. Before it originally closed, it had become the UK's longest-running PlayStation magazine. Issue 269, the magazine's final printed edition was published in April 2016 when it become a digital only publication for a short time. As well as being sold in the UK, ''PLAY'' is also sold in Australia.
