New Krypton
"New Krypton" is a 2008–09 comic book story arc featuring character Superman, published by American company DC Comics; it was written by Geoff Johns, James Robinson and Sterling Gates, with art by Gary Frank, Alex Ross, Renato Guedes, Jamal Igle and Pete Woods. The arc is an inter-title crossover, published in ''Action Comics'', '' Superman'' and ''Supergirl''. The story features Superman coming to terms with the death of his adoptive father while also dealing with 100,000 Kryptonians now living on Earth as a result of the '' Brainiac'' story arc. Guardian (DC Comics)
Guardian (James Jacob "Jim" Harper) is a DC Comics superhero introduced in April 1942 by writer/artist Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby. Guardian resembles the earlier Kirby and Simon character Captain America (first published 13 months earlier by Marvel Comics), as he had no superpower (ability), super powers and carried an indestructible shield. When Kirby returned to DC in 1970, he eventually re-established the character as a supporting one in the ''Superman'' franchise: as a clone who was head of security for Project Cadmus. Don David Curiel (11 May 1594 – 4 October 1666), alias Lopo Ramirez, was a Sephardi Jewish merchant. Early life and education David Curiel was the son of Abraham Curiel and the brother of Jacob Curiel. He was sent to Heidelberg University in Heidelberg, Germany. Diplomatic career In Amsterdam, David Curiel served as Agent to the Spanish Crown as well as being engaged in the import business of jewellery and gunpowder across Europe. He was a financier of the Spanish delegation at the Peace of Westphalia. Curiel was perhaps the most prominent member of Amsterdam's Sephardi community and was a generous patron of Hebrew scholarship. David Baron is an American comic book colorist from San Diego. Career Baron began his career at the age of 15, working for the coloring house InColor. He was subsequently hired by Wildstorm FX. After several years there, he left to pursue a freelance career. His work has primarily appeared in books published by WildStorm and DC Comics. Keith Champagne
Keith Champagne (born August 4, 1970) is an American comic artist, who has also moved into writing, and is known for his work at DC Comics. Biography Keith graduated from Montville High School in Oakdale, Connecticut in 1988. He is a 1994 graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Keith began working professionally as a comic book inker during his second year at the Kubert School. Titles he has contributed to (as writer) include: JSA, Green Lantern Corps, and World War III. Peter Woods is an American comic book artist, known for his work on titles such as '' Backlash'', ''Deadpool'', ''Robin'', ''Catwoman'', ''Amazons Attack'', and ''Action Comics''. Career Woods worked as an intern for Wildstorm comics in April 1996 working under artist Jim Lee. Gary Frank (born 1969) is a British comics artist, notable for pencilling on ''Midnight Nation'' and ''Supreme Power'', both written by J. Michael Straczynski. Sterling Gates (born March 1, 1981 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American comic book and television writer. Early life Gates, whose father owned a used book store with a large selection of comics, became a comic book fan at a young age, describing himself as "the DC kid" while dubbing his brother Alex "the Marvel kid". During his teenage years, Gates drifted towards the music scene, but rediscovered comics in the late 90s when his family had to inventorize the father's store before its closure. While attending University of Oklahoma, Gates wrote, drew and self-published short autobiographical slice-of-life comics and worked part-time at his then-local comic book store, Speeding Bullet Comics. James Dale Robinson is a British writer of American comic books and screenplays best known for co-creating the character of Starman (Jack Knight) with Tony Harris and reviving the Justice Society of America in the late 1990s.
