Christian X Of Denmark
Christian X ( da, Christian Carl Frederik Albert Alexander Vilhelm; 26 September 1870 – 20 April 1947) was King of Denmark from 1912 to his death in 1947, and the only King of Iceland as Kristján X, in the form of a personal union rather than a real union between 1918 and 1944. He was a member of the House of Glücksburg, a branch of the House of Oldenburg, and the first monarch since King Frederick VII born into the Danish royal family; both his father and his grandfather were born as princes of a ducal family from Schleswig. Among his siblings was King Haakon VII of Norway. His son became Frederick IX of Denmark. His character has been described as authoritarian and he strongly stressed the importance of royal dignity and power. His reluctance to fully embrace democracy resulted in the Easter Crisis of 1920, in which he dismissed the democratically elected Social Liberal cabinet with which he disagreed, and installed one of his own choosing. Kirsten Jacobsen
Kirsten Jacobsen ( Larsen; 18 February 1942 – 2 December 2010) was a Danish real estate agent and politician who was an elected member of the Folketing for the North Jutland County constituency for two non-consecutive periods from 1973 to 1981 and then between 1988 and 2001. She was first a member of the Progress Party, the Freedom 2000 Group an independent and The Conservative People's Party. Jacobsen was also a member of both the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Nordic Council. She was leader of the Progress Party from 1995 to 1997. Jacobsen was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1991 and was upgraded to Knight First Class of the Order of the Dannebrog five years later. Alba Schwartz
Sofie Albertine (Alba) Schwartz née Larsen (1857–1942) was a Danish writer who contributed to the social life of Skagen in the north of Jutland after her husband was appointed mayor in 1899. Her earlier writings documented the history of the town but it was not until she was in her seventies that she began writing novels, publishing ''Overlægen'' (The Specialist Physician) in 1935. Her most successful work was ''Skilsmissens Børn'' which led to the film '' Children of Divorce'' in 1939. Vita Andersen (29 October 1942 – 20 July 2021) was a Danish poet, novelist, playwright and children's writer. Career Andersen made her literary debut in 1977 with the poetry collection ', which is among the most sold poetry collections in Denmark. Further publications include the short story collection ''Hold kæft og vær smuk'' (1978), the plays ''Elsk mig'' (1980) and ''Kannibalerne'' (1982), the novel ''Hva'for en hånd vil du ha'' (1987), and the children's books ''Petruskas laksko'' (1989) and ''Coco'' (1997). Per Stig Møller (, informal: Per Stig; born 27 August 1942 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish politician. He was a member of the Folketing (Danish national parliament) for the Conservative People's Party from 1984 until 2015, and was Minister for the Environment from 18 December 1990 to 24 January 1993 as part of the Cabinet of Poul Schlüter IV and Foreign Minister from 27 November 2001 to 23 February 2010 as part of the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen I, II and III, and the first Cabinet of Lars Løkke Rasmussen. Birgitte Alsted
Birgitte Alsted (born 15 June 1942) is a Danish violinist, teacher and composer. Alsted was born in Odense, and was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and in Warsaw. She has done much within the electronic music and often uses creative expressions, which includes other forms. Thus, she has been a part in theater and performance / dance in Denmark. Her work list, besides the music theater includes works for soloists and chamber ensembles, often unconventional compositions and the use of acoustic instruments.
