Christian X Of Denmark
Christian X ( da, Christian Carl Frederik Albert Alexander Vilhelm; 26 September 1870 â€“ 20 April 1947) was King of Denmark from 1912 to his death in 1947, and the only King of Iceland as Kristján X, in the form of a personal union rather than a real union between 1918 and 1944. He was a member of the House of Glücksburg, a branch of the House of Oldenburg, and the first monarch since King Frederick VII born into the Danish royal family; both his father and his grandfather were born as princes of a ducal family from Schleswig. Among his siblings was King Haakon VII of Norway. His son became Frederick IX of Denmark. His character has been described as authoritarian and he strongly stressed the importance of royal dignity and power. Kirsten Jacobsen
Kirsten Jacobsen ( Larsen; 18 February 1942 – 2 December 2010) was a Danish real estate agent and politician who was an elected member of the Folketing for the North Jutland County constituency for two non-consecutive periods from 1973 to 1981 and then between 1988 and 2001. She was first a member of the Progress Party, the Freedom 2000 Group an independent and The Conservative People's Party. Jacobsen was also a member of both the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Nordic Council. She was leader of the Progress Party from 1995 to 1997. Jacobsen was appointed Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1991 and was upgraded to Knight First Class of the Order of the Dannebrog five years later. Alba Schwartz
Sofie Albertine (Alba) Schwartz née Larsen (1857–1942) was a Danish writer who contributed to the social life of Skagen in the north of Jutland after her husband was appointed mayor in 1899. Her earlier writings documented the history of the town but it was not until she was in her seventies that she began writing novels, publishing ''Overlægen'' (The Specialist Physician) in 1935. Her most successful work was ''Skilsmissens Børn'' which led to the film '' Children of Divorce'' in 1939. Vita Andersen (29 October 1942 – 20 July 2021) was a Danish poet, novelist, playwright and children's writer. Career Andersen made her literary debut in 1977 with the poetry collection ', which is among the most sold poetry collections in Denmark. Birgitte Alsted (born 15 June 1942) is a Danish violinist, teacher and composer. Alsted was born in Odense, and was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and in Warsaw. She has done much within the electronic music and often uses creative expressions, which includes other forms. Thus, she has been a part in theater and performance / dance in Denmark. Flemming Oluf Quist Møller (19 May 1942 – 31 January 2022) was a Danish director, cartoonist, children's author, drummer, screenwriter, and actor. Career As a director, he started with small experimental animation, often in collaboration with Jannik Hastrup. He made contributions as a children's author, and in a totally different ballgame, he was co-author of Anders Refn films such as ''Strømer'' (1976), '' The Heritage'' (1978) and '' Black Harvest'' (1993). Central to Quist Møller's sprawling work stands the cartoon '' Benny's Bathtub'' (1971) which he wrote the script for and directed together with Jannik Hastrup. Poul Anker Bech
Poul Anker Bech (13 April 1942 – 7 October 2009) was a Danish painter. He started painting in the 1960s and studied at The Jutland Academy of Art in Aarhus, 1966–67. He quit his job in 1988 to become a full-time painter. Poul Anker Bech painted everyday landscapes and situations, from an unusual point of view. His motives often contain ironic or surrealistic elements. He himself has said that he would like his paintings to easily be remembered, without needing to understand their meaning. On 27 August 2003 a Danish 19-krone stamp was published using one of Poul Anker Bech's paintings, Det forjættede land (the promised land).
