The Epilogue
''The Epilogue'' was a feature of radio and later television, and was the last programme broadcast each Sunday evening lasting five to ten minutes. It was a non-denominational talk on a reflective theme usually delivered by a Christian minister or priest in a straight to-camera format. In British television terminology, an "epilogue" is an equivalent of the American sermonette. Later the format was adopted by the independent television broadcaster ITV and its franchises including Scottish Television and Southern Television. ''The Epilogue'' was first broadcast on BBC Radio on Sunday 26 September 1926. Originally the programme consisted of themed Bible readings but later hymns were added for listeners at home to join in with. St Paul's Church is a Church of England parish church located on St Paul's Square in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. Television Wales And The West
Television Wales and the West (TWW) was the British Independent Television (commercial television) contractor for a franchise area that initially served South Wales and West of England (franchise awarded 26 October 1956, started transmissions on 14 January 1958, the eighth franchise to launch) until 1968. For the first six years, TWW's service was provided from a single VHF transmitter serving both south east Wales and the west of England. The later acquisition of Teledu Cymru in 1964 enabled TWW to extend its coverage across most of Wales and to provide separate services for the Welsh and English parts of the resulting 'dual region' franchise. Bedford is a market town in Bedfordshire, England. Broadcasting House
Broadcasting House is the headquarters of the BBC, in Portland Place and Langham Place, London. The first radio broadcast from the building was made on 15 March 1932, and the building was officially opened two months later, on 15 May. The main building is in Art Deco style, with a facing of Portland stone over a steel frame. It is a Grade II* listed building and includes the BBC Radio Theatre, where music and speech programmes are recorded in front of a studio audience. As part of a major consolidation of the BBC's property portfolio in London, Broadcasting House has been extensively renovated and extended.
