This is a list of compositions by jazz musician Thelonious Monk. 0-9 52nd Street Theme A contrafact based loosely on rhythm changes in C, and was copyrighted by Monk under the title "Nameless" in April 1944. The tune was also called "Bip Bop" by Monk, and he claims that the tune's latter title was the origin of the genre-defining name bebop. It quickly became popular as an opening and closing tune on the clubs on 52nd Street on Manhattan where Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker played. It was first recorded by Dizzy Gillespie's sextet on February 22, 1946, under the title "52nd Street Theme". Leonard Feather claims he gave the latter title. A Ask Me Now A tonally ambiguous ballad in D first recorded on July 23, 1951, for the '' Genius of Modern Music'' sessions. It also appears on ''5 by Monk by 5'', and ''Solo Monk''. Jon Hendricks wrote lyrics to the tune and called it ”How I Wish”; it was first recorded by Carmen McRae on ''Carmen Sings Monk''. Mark Murphy sings a versio ...

Razorblade Suitcase
''Razorblade Suitcase'' is the second studio album by English rock band Bush, released on 19 November 1996 by Trauma and Interscope Records. The follow-up to their 1994 debut ''Sixteen Stone'', it was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with engineer and producer Steve Albini. Its sound is more raw than that of its predecessor and has frequently been compared to Nirvana's ''In Utero'' (1993), which was also produced and engineered by Albini. The album is widely considered to be the last "grunge" sounding album of the 1990s. ''Razorblade Suitcase'' debuted at number one on the US ''Billboard'' 200, selling 293,000 copies in its first week of sales in the United States. To date, it remains the only Bush album to top the ''Billboard'' 200. The twentieth anniversary of the album was marked with a reissue officially titled ''Razorblade Suitcase (In Addition)'' on 16 December 2016, including the remastered album and four rare bonus tracks: "Broken TV," "Old," "Sleeper" and "Bubble ...

Bartending Terminology
Various unique terminology is used in bartending. Definitions and usage Straight, up, and straight up In bartending, the terms "straight up" and "up" ordinarily refer to an alcoholic drink that is shaken or stirred with ice and then strained and served in a stemmed glass without ice. "Straight" ordinarily refers to a single, unmixed liquor served without any water, ice, or other mixer. In this sense, "straight" can sometimes be used as a synonym for ''either'' "straight up" or "neat". Furthermore, "straight" is also a term of art for a particular type of whiskey produced in the United States. United States federal law defines the term "straight whiskey" as whiskey that has met particular requirements for its ingredients, production process, and aging. For example, the label of a bottle of top-shelf bourbon typically identifies the product as "Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey" (since about 95% of all bourbon is produced in Kentucky). While the meaning of "up" and "neat" ...
