Saint Seiya (2019 Series)
, also known as ''Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac'' or simply ''Knights of the Zodiac'' (translated from the French title ''Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque''), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from 1985 to 1990, with its chapters collected in 28 ''tankōbon'' volumes. The story follows five mystical warriors called the Saints who fight wearing sacred sets of armor named "Cloths", the designs of which derive from the various constellations the characters have adopted as their destined guardian symbols. The Saints have sworn to defend the reincarnation of the Olympian goddess Athena (in her fictional depiction specific to the series) in her battle against other gods who want to dominate Earth. Yōsuke Kuroda
is a Japanese anime screenwriter from Mie Prefecture, Japan. He has his own studio enterprise, Studio Orphee. Kuroda is noted for his work on authoring the scenario, screenplay and story composition of the anime series ''Excel Saga'', ''Please Teacher!'' and its sequel ''Please Twins!'', ''Honey and Clover'', ''Mobile Suit Gundam 00'' and numerous others. Tomoharu Katsumata
is a Japanese film director best known for his work on various anime works. A leading director at the Toei Animation studio during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, Katsumata worked as a director on several of Toei's anime television adaptations of manga by Go Nagai, including ''Devilman'' (1972), ''Mazinger Z'' (1972), ''Cutey Honey'' (1973), ''Great Mazinger'' (1974), ''UFO Robo Grendizer'' (1975) and ''Gaiking'' (1976) (both Grendizer and Gaiking became later part of Jim Terry's ''Force Five'' package on U.S. television).
