Ettifaq FC

	Ettifaq FC Al Ettifaq Football Club ( ar, نادي الاتفاق لكرة القدم, nādī al-ittifāq likura al-qadami) is a professional football club in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. It was established by the merger of three Damman clubs in 1944. Al Ettifaq were the first Saudi team to win an international title – the 1984 Arab Club Champions Cup. They were also the first to win the Saudi Premier League without any defeats, and the first Saudi team to win the GCC Champions League. Al Ettifaq have a total of 13 different titles to their name. The club also has its own futsal section. History Before the establishment of Al-Ettifaq, there were three clubs in Dammam that were founded in 1941 (Al-Taawoun, Al-Sha'ab and Al-Shabab). These clubs began practicing their sporting activities and gathering the people of the region. In 1945, the presidents met in Faris Al-Hamid's house and decided to merge into one club. The 1983 edition was known as the Gulf Cooperation Council Club Tournament. 	1983 King Cup The 1983 King Cup was the 25th season of the knockout competition since its establishment in 1956. Al-Hilal were the defending champions, but they were eliminated by Al-Ahli in the semi-finals. Al-Ahli defeated Al-Ettifaq in the final to win their 10th title. 	2015–16 Saudi First Division 2015–16 Saudi First Division was the 39th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season featured 11 teams from the 2014–15 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2014–15 Professional League: Al-Shoulla and Al-Orobah, and three new teams promoted from the 2014–15 Saudi Second Division: Damac as champions and group B winners, Al-Nojoom as runners-up and group A winners and Ohod as Third-place play-off winners. The league began on 21 August 2015 and concluded on 23 April 2016. On 23 April 2016, Al-Mojzel won the league title and promoted to 2016–17 Professional League along with Al-Ettifaq, while Al-Batin qualified to the promotion play-offs. 	1986–87 Saudi Premier League The 1986–87 Saudi Premier League season reverted to a regular home and away league format instead of the previous season's group phases. Ettifaq FC, Al Ettifaq would win the title for the second time. Newly promoted sides Al-Ansar (Saudi Arabia), Al-Ansar and Al-Raed would be relegated at the first time of asking proving in the process that it is hard for promoted teams to survive in the first season as few teams have managed to achieve this feat.
