The season featured 11 teams from the 2014–15 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2014–15 Professional League: Al-Shoulla and Al-Orobah, and three new teams promoted from the 2014–15 Saudi Second Division: Damac as champions and group B winners, Al-Nojoom as runners-up and group A winners and Ohod as Third-place play-off winners.
