Azubah Caroline Condit
Azubah Caroline Condit (c. 1810 – June 11, 1844) was a missionary of the Reformed Church in America. Condit embarked on missionary work in response to a call from David Abeel, and with Jacob Ennis, Elihu Doty, Elbert Nevius, and William Youngblood, along with their wives, she sailed to Borneo from New York City in June 1836; she was the sister of Elbert Nevius' wife. The first single woman to engage in foreign mission work for the Reformed Church in America, her title was "assistant missionary". She studied Chinese and engaged in the instruction of Chinese girls on Java; she also founded a boarding school at Pontianak dedicated to the education of Chinese girls. In Mumbai, Condit married a fellow missionary, the Reverend D. O. Allen, on December 12, 1843; she died the following year in the same city. Condit's films are noted for their attempts to subvert traditional mythologies of female representation and psychologies of sexuality and violence. Nohl Foundation, Wisconsin Arts Council and National Media Award from the Retirement Research Foundation. Gary Adrian Condit (born April 21, 1948) is an American former politician who represented California's 18th congressional district in the House of Representatives from 1989 to 2003. He gained significant national attention for an extramarital affair with Chandra Levy, an intern with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The Austin serial bombings occurred between March 2 and March 21, 2018, mostly in Austin, Texas. In total, five Letter bomb, package bombs exploded, murdering two people and injuring another five. The perpetrator, 23-year-old Mark Anthony Conditt of Pflugerville, Texas, was pulled over by police on March 21. Conditt detonated an explosive inside his vehicle, killing himself and injuring a police officer.
