The perceptual quantizer (PQ), published by Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, SMPTE as SMPTE ST 2084, is a Transfer functions in imaging, transfer function that allows for High-dynamic-range video, HDR display by replacing the Gamma correction, gamma curve used in Standard-dynamic-range video, SDR. It is capable of representing luminance level up to 10000 Candela per square metre, cd/m2 (nits) and down to 0.0001 nits. It has been developed by Dolby Laboratories, Dolby and standardized in 2014 by Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, SMPTE and also in 2016 by International Telecommunication Union, ITU in Rec. 2100. ITU specifies the use of PQ or Hybrid log–gamma, HLG as transfer functions for HDR-TV. Goran Parlov
Goran Parlov (born March 14, 1967) is a Croatian comic book artist. Early life Goran Parlov graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1991 and soon moved to Italy. Career Parlov began drawing comics professionally in the early 90s, after moving to Italy. His first published work was in the '' Ken Parker Magazine'', where he drew an episode of the regular series and a short story, written by Giancarlo Berardi. In 1993 Parlov joined Bonelli, where he started out illustrating the '' Nick Raider'' series, and later moved on to the ''Magico Vento''. In the early 2000s he began working for the American market, first at Vertigo, where he finished Jamie Delano's '' Outlaw Nation'' series for Goran Sudžuka.
