Zulfiqarabad
Zulfiqarabad ( ur, ), is a proposed new city in Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan around 150 kilometers south-east from Karachi. Zulfikarabad Development Authority was established in 2010 to establish and operate the city. The same year 60,000 acres (242 square kilometre) of land was identified by the Government of Sindh in Southern Sindh. The proposal further states an establishment of a port in Keti Bandar to be connected to the city. The project is likely to be expanded to 1.32 million acres of land across four talukas of Thatta district, Jati, Shah Bunder, Keti Bunder and Kharo Chan. Authorities plan to reclaim 0.967 million acres of land from the sea. According to IUCN, the project would likely have negative impact of the project on Marho Kotri Wildlife Sanctuary. Left wing groups have identified four talukas of Thatta, 480 villages, six archaeological sites, 17 creeks of the Indus delta, 223 kilometers of a coastal belt and over 400,000 people at risk of displacement. Thatta District
Thatta District ( sd, ٺٽو ضلعو, ur, ) is located in the southern area, locally called ''Laar'', of the Subdivisions of Pakistan#Provinces and territories, province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its capital is Thatta. It is home to a large necropolis of Makli. In 2013, several talukas were separated to form the new Sujawal District. Keti Bunder
The Keti Bandar Port ( ur, ) is a port on the Arabian Sea, in the Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. The port was built on the remains of the older seaport of Debal where Muhammad bin Qasim and his army arrived from Iraq. Keti Bandar is approximately 150 highway kilometers from Karachi, with a driving time of around 3.5 to 4 hours. Two of the larger towns on the route from Karachi to Keti Bandar are Gharo and Mirpur Sakro. Economy Keti Bandar Project was planned to build a port and power station at Keti Bandar. The Keti Bandar economy completely relies upon fishing and the entire village is dependent on the fishermen who sometimes spend days at a time on their boats in the Arabian Sea. As these fishermen return with their catch they display their products in the open market, where buyers collect the fish and transport it to Karachi. Shahbandar (Pakistan)
Shahbandar ( ur, شاہ بندر, Shāhbandar) is a historical port town in Sujawal District, Sindh, Pakistan. During its heyday in the late 1700s, Shahbandar reportedly was home to as many as 50,000 people, but it soon lost its port access and went into a steep decline. As of 2017, Shahbandar has a population of 362, in 100 households. Shahbandar is also the name of one of the talukas in Sujawal district.
