Zolote
Zolote ( uk, Золотé; russian: Золотóе; lit. «Golden») is a city in Sievierodonetsk Raion, Luhansk Oblast (region) of Ukraine. Population: . The town consists of villages that were merged to create Zolote. Currently these villages are numbered in a sequence from Zolote 1 to Zolote 5. Before the creation of Zolote they were named Karbonit, Rodina, Stakhanovets, Maryvka and Partyzansky. During the War in Donbass the Ukrainian authorities lost control over parts of Zolote to the self proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). Zolote-5 (formally named Maryvka) became under full control of the LPR. Zolote-4 (Patrizansky) and Zolote-3 (Stakhanovets) became situated in the " gray zone" between the warring parties. Battle Of Donbas (2022)
The Battle of Donbas is an ongoing military offensive that is part of the wider eastern Ukraine offensive of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The battle began on 18 April 2022 between the armed forces of Russia and Ukraine for control of the Donbas provinces (oblasts) of Donetsk and Luhansk. Military analysts consider the battle to be part of the second strategic phase of the invasion. Popasna Raion
Popasna Raion () was a raion (district) in Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. The administrative center was the town of Popasna. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Luhansk Oblast to eight, of which only four were controlled by the government. Hirske
Hirske (), or Gorskoye (), is a city in the Sievierodonetsk Raion of the Luhansk Oblast (region) of Ukraine. Population: . History Starting mid-April 2014 pro-Russian separatists captured several towns in Donetsk Oblast; including Hirske. On 13 August 2014, Ukrainian forces reportedly secured the city from the pro-Russian separatists. However, on 1 September 2014 it was recaptured again.
