Zeidler Architecture is an international architecture, interior design, urban design, and master planning firm with four Canadian offices located in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria. In addition, the firm has locations in Beijing (China); and Berlin (Germany). The firm began in 1880 in the City of Peterborough when William Blackwell established his practice there. Eberhard Zeidler joined Blackwell Jr. and partner Craig in 1951. The firm (renamed Craig, Zeidler and Strong) moved to Toronto in 1963. The Minto Midtown is a residential complex on Yonge Street in Toronto in the Davisville neighbourhood near Yonge and Eglinton consisting of two towers, Quantum (37 storeys) and Quantum 2 (52 storeys) developed by Minto Developments Inc. The proposed project—which substantially exceeded existing height and zoning limits—was met with substantial neighborhood and city opposition, until Minto appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board and worked out a deal with the City of Toronto. The McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences is one of six faculties at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Living Arts Centre
The Living Arts Centre is a multi-use facility which opened in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, on October 7, 1997. The complex houses three theatres for the performing arts, Hammerson Hall, RBC Theatre and Rogers Theatre), an exhibition gallery (the Laidlaw Hall), seven art studios and facilities for corporate meetings. Canada Place is a building situated on the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, the Vancouver World Trade Centre, and the virtual flight ride FlyOver Canada.
