Zafar Iqbal (actor)
Zafar Iqbal (born 25 September 1950 or 25 April 1950 – died 6 January 1991 or 1992) was a Bangladeshi actor, singer and freedom fighter. He acted in 150 films. Singer Shahnaz Rahmatullah and music composer Anwar Pervez (musician), Anwar Parvez were his siblings. Background Iqbal learned to play guitar in the 1970s. He formed his own band ''Rambling Stone'' in 1966 with two of his friends named Mukit & Akash. The band used to perform regularly at the hotel InterContinental Dhaka. Music director Robin Ghosh hired him as a session guitarist for his upcoming film ''Pitch Dhala Poth''. During one of those shows, director Khan Ataur Rahman met Iqbal and offered him work as an actor in a lead role for the film ''Apan Por ''. Mastan (film)
''Mastan'' ( bn, মস্তান) is a Bengali Action Drama movie released in 2004, directed by Rabi Kinagi. The movie featured Jeet, Swastika Mukherjee, Hara Patnaik and Mihir Das. It was an unofficial remake of 1999 Bollywood movie '' Jaanwar'' featuring Akshay Kumar, Karishma Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty which was critically and commercially successful. Plot The film revolves around the life of Raju, a poor boy whose mother dies of starvation. He is taken under the fold by the local smuggler Bhanupratap. Abujh Hridoy
Mostofa Anwar (born 1938–12 May 2015) was a Bangladeshi director of the 1980s who made films such as '' Abujh Hridoy'', '' Kajal Lata'', '' Ankhi Milan'', ''Kashem Malar Prem'', ''Pushpamala, Samarpan, Banglar Ma'', ''Asroy'', and ''Fashi''. Anwar worked with the actors Razzaq, Alamgir, Zafor Iqbal, Suchorita, Ilias Kanchan and Bobita. He was born in Jamalpur District, and joined the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) but soon left to work in the film industry. Beginning as an actor, he became assistant filmmaker to Zahir Raihan, before later working with Pherari, directing around 15 films. Several playback songs used in his films were "Tumi Amar Jiban" (''Abujh Hridoy''), "Amar Garur Garitey Bou Sajiye" (''Ankhi Milon''), and "Ei Raat Dakey Oi Chand Dakey Ei Tomay Amay" (''Kajol Lata''). ''Jogajog'' or ''Yogayog'' is a novel by Rabindranath Tagore. It was published in book form in 1929 (Asharh 1336). It was first serialised in the magazine ''Bichitra'' from Ashwin 1334 to Choitro 1335. In the first two issues the novel was titled ''Tin Purush''. In the third issue in Ogrohayon 1334, Rabindranath changed the name to ''Jogajog''. The story revolves around the underlying rivalry between two families — the Chatterjees, aristocrats now on the decline (Biprodas) and the Ghosals (Madhusudan), representing new money and arrogance. Kumudini, Biprodas' sister, is caught between the two as she is married off to Madhusudan.
