Zürich Affoltern Railway Station
Zürich Affoltern railway station (german: Bahnhof Zürich Affoltern) is a railway station in the Affoltern quarter of the Swiss city of Zürich. The station is located on the Wettingen–Effretikon railway line (Furttal line). The station is not to be confused with Affoltern am Albis railway station, which is located in Affoltern am Albis ('' Säuliamt''), canton of Zürich. Infrastructure In 2010, the station was rebuilt with the introduction of a convenience store and parking for 130 bicycles. The store is open 365 days a year from dawn to dusk and is part of the Migrolino chain owned the Migros company. The former station building (''Alter Bahnhof'') is situated to the west of the current location, on the opposite side of ''Zehntenhausstrasse''. Zürcher Verkehrsverbund
The ZVV (German abbreviation for Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, translated into English as Zürich Transport Network or Zürich Traffic Network) is a public transportation system. It combines rail, bus, tram, trolleybus, lake boat, cable car and other services in the Swiss canton of Zürich (and including Rapperswil-Jona (SG), Pfäffikon SZ and spots outside of the canton) integrating them into a single fare network with coordinated timetables. The S6 is a regional railway service of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's services connecting the cantons of Zürich and Aargau. Affoltern Am Albis Railway Station
Affoltern am Albis is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zürich, situated in the municipality of Affoltern am Albis. The station is located on the Zürich to Zug via Affoltern am Albis railway line. Affoltern am Albis station is less than 30 minutes from Zürich Hauptbahnhof. On the Zug side there are three sidings, which are rarely used, and a former siding from the ''OVA'' site. The old station with its two platform tracks was completely rebuilt in 2001. The level crossing at the OVA site was abolished and replaced by a bicycle and passenger underpass. The station received a third platform track and all buildings were replaced. The station forecourt was rebuilt and a bus station was built. The integrated bus terminal has eight stops for the provisional six bus routes to the region as well as to Cham, Zürich, Muri and Thalwil.
