Zurdok
Zurdok was a Mexican rock band based in Monterrey. It was formed in 1993 under the name Zurdok Movimento, changing it several years later to simply Zurdok. It was one of the most important bands in the Mexican rock band scene at the end of the 1990s and the early 2000s. The band recorded 3 studio albums that achieved success into the ''rock en español'' critics and audiences. Lead singer Fer Martz left the band in 1999 and Chetes remained as the main vocalist. They got into hiatus in 2002, when finally decided to finish the band in 2003. In 2006, Chetes released his solo career and Martz did a reunion of Zurdok along David Izquierdo. Luis Gerardo Garza Cisneros (; born September 19, 1979 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México), better known as his stage name Chetes (), is a Mexican rock musician, well known for being the leader of the influential Avanzada Regia rock bands Zurdok, Vaquero and eventually, his own solo career. Biography Chetes was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. His father was a founding member of the rock band ''Los Rockets'', which led to Chetes' interest in music. At age 7, he learned classic guitar, and started to like artists such as the Beatles and the Beach Boys. At the age of 12, he attempted to learn how to play drums, but this project was quickly abandoned when neighbors complained about the noise. When MTV arrived in the city, Chetes got even more excited about rock music so he learned about guitar distortion. Vive Latino - Festival Iberoamericano de Cultura Musical is an annual music festival held in Mexico City. It is one of the most important music festivals in Mexico, featuring a great variety of groups of many genres. The event takes place in Foro Sol usually in the months of March and April. The duration of the festival has been one to three days, depending on the number of live acts, but since 2010 the festival's length has been 2 or 3 days. Peter Reardon
Peter Reardon is an American recording artist, music producer and professional audio equipment manufacturer. Peter grew up in Houston, Texas, where he was heavily involved in the "punk" rock scene of the 1980s. Peter began his own musical career in the middle of the decade as the singer for the little-known band Crowd Control where he first explored song writing and developed his own stage presence. Peter was hired by the infamous Rap-a-Lot records and was an engineer and\or mixer on several Geto Boys records as well as a number of solo projects for individual band members. For his efforts at Rap-A-Lot, he earned his first gold record from the RIAA. Peter continued to work with Rap-A-Lot through the early 1990s until leaving for Los Angeles to pursue other recording opportunities. Ken Coomer
Ken Coomer is an American musician and producer best known for his drumming in Uncle Tupelo and later Wilco. He was the drummer and co-founder of the Nashville-based band, Clockhammer, in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Career Coomer produced the debut solo album of Vaquero's singer Chetes, which achieved platinum record sales in the Mexican music market. In 2017, he produced the debut album of the Colombian indie rock band AppleTree called ''Horas Perdidas'', which was named the #1 Colombian album of 2018. Wilco is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois. The band was formed in 1994 by the remaining members of alternative country group Uncle Tupelo following singer Jay Farrar's departure. Marcela Alejandra Bovio García (born October 17, 1979) is a Mexican singer and violinist who is currently a member of the Dutch symphonic death metal band MaYaN. In 1995, she joined Hydra, a Mexican metal band, singing and playing violin. In 1999 they released an EP called "''Bosquejo''". After leaving them, Bovio co-founded the Mexican experimental rock band Elfonía in 2001, which was active until 2006. Placebo (band)
Placebo are a British rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Drummer Robert Schultzberg joined in late 1994, but left in 1996 shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album due to conflicts with Molko, and was replaced the same year by Steve Hewitt. Following the release of a demo, a split single, and their eponymous debut album, Placebo gained exposure in 1997 after the single " Nancy Boy" became popular in the UK, a song notorious at the time for its gender-bending content.
