Zurab Todua
Zurab Todua (russian: Зураб Джумберович Тодуа; born 25 December 1963) is a Moldovan historian, politician, politologue, publicist and writer, who served as deputy in the Parliament of Moldova between 2010 and 2014. Since 1991 Todua has researched political, social-economical, inter-ethnic and religious problems in post-soviet space (CIS), being specialised on the conflict regions and zones, and on religious extremism. Todua is well known in Russian-language area, and often is presented as a 'Russian' politologue. Todua was born in Șoldănești, then part of the Moldavian SSR within the Soviet Union, to a Georgian father and a Moldovan mother. His father, Djumberi Todua, as well is a communist politician who served as deputy in Moldovan Parliament in 2001–2005. Moldovan Parliament
The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova is the supreme representative body of the Republic of Moldova, the only state legislative authority, being a unicameral structure composed of 101 elected MPs on lists, for a period of 4 years. Parliament is elected by universal vote, equal directly, secret and freely expressed. The President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova is elected by the Parliament, with a minimum of 52 votes. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, on a proposal of the Central Electoral Commission, decides to validate or invalidate the mandate of the Member of Parliament. The mandate is invalid in the case of violation of electoral legislation. The Parliament is meeting at the convening of the Speaker of the Parliament within 30 days of the elections. Iurie Muntean (born 13 May 1972) is a Moldovans, Moldovan politician, who served as a deputy Ministry of Economy (Moldova), Minister of Economy and Trade (2008–2009) and member of the Parliament of Moldova (2009–2014). Mark Tkachuk (russian: Марк Евге́ньевич Ткачук, born 26 September 1966) is a Moldovan politician, historian, archaeologist and anthropologist, former member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
