Zoran Đorđević (politician)
Zoran Đorđević ( sr-cyr, Зоран Ђорђевић, born 11 February 1970) is a Serbian politician. He served as the Minister of Defence of Serbia in the Government of Serbia from 2016 to 2017, and the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy from 2017 to 2020. Education and career Đorđević graduated from the School of National Defense in Belgrade. He later acquired a joint-master's degree in international banking and finance from the John Naisbitt University Faculty of International Economics and the Panteion University. He currently completes his doctoral studies in the field of economic sciences at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad. He gained professional experience in leading positions in financial and executive management domestic and regional companies including Comtrade, Kabel-X and others. Megatrend University ( sr, Универзитет Мегатренд, Univerzitet Megatrend) is a private university located in New Belgrade, the city of Belgrade, Serbia. It was founded in 1989 as the Megatrend Business School, which later became Megatrend University. In 2015, the Council of Megatrend University changed the name of the institution to University John Naisbitt. The name was changed back to Megatrend University in 2017. With around 3,500 enrolled students as of 2018–2019 school year, it is the fourth largest private university in Serbia. 2017 Serbian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Serbia on 2 April 2017. Incumbent president Tomislav Nikolić was eligible to run for a second five-year term, but opted not to do so. Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić was elected president in the first round. The election was marred by accusations of voter intimidation and a near total domination of the Serbian media by Vučić and his party. Following the announcement of the results, protests were held across Serbia against Vučić's victory.
