Zoran Redžić
Zoran Redžić (born 29 January 1948) is a Bosnian musician, best known for playing the bass guitar in the popular Yugoslav rock band Bijelo Dugme. Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia, he is a younger brother of another Bosnian musician from band Indexi. During the late 1960s, teenage Zoran first performed with the group Čičci together with Milić Vukašinović, Mahmut "Paša" Ferović, and Dragan Danilović. Then in 1970 Redžić and drummer Milić Vukašinović joined Željko Bebek's band Kodeksi, of which Goran Bregović was already a member. After Bebek departed his own band, Redžić opted to stay with Goran Bregović in his new band Jutro which would go on to become the highly successful Bijelo Dugme in 1974. Redžić was Bijelo Dugme's bassist from 1974 to 1975 and then from 1977 to 1989 and played on the band's every studio album except ''Eto! Baš hoću!''. Kodeksi
Kodeksi was a cover band from Sarajevo, SR Bosnia-Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia that existed from 1965 until 1971. It is most notable as one of the predecessors to Bijelo dugme, the most commercially successful band ever to come out of SFR Yugoslavia. Key future members of Bijelo dugme — Goran Bregović, Željko Bebek, Zoran Redžić, and Milić Vukašinović — came up through Kodeksi. The band effectively ended during fall 1970 via splitting off into two groups — Mića, Goran i Zoran and Novi Kodeksi — with both offshoots also folding quickly within a year. ''Eto! Baš hoću!'' (trans. ''There! I Will!'') is the third studio album by Yugoslav rock band Bijelo Dugme, released in 1976. ''Eto! Baš hoću!'' was the band's first album which was not recorded by the band's default lineup. It did not feature the bass guitarist Zoran Redžić, the drummer Ipe Ivandić and the keyboardist Vlado Pravdić, as at the time all three were serving their mandatory stints in the Yugoslav army. It was the band's first album to feature keyboardist Laza Ristovski, and the band's only album to feature Milić Vukašinović on drums. Jutro (Sarajevo Band)
Jutro (trans. "Morning") was a Sarajevo-based rock band most notable as the immediate predecessor to Bijelo Dugme. It existed from late 1971 until the very end of 1973 when it transformed into one of the most successful rock bands ever to come out of SFR Yugoslavia — Bijelo Dugme. Career Jutro was formed as the brainchild of twenty-eight-year-old rhythm guitarist (formerly of Indexi) who in fall 1971 decided to approach guitarist Goran Bregović with an offer of putting together a new band. Twenty-one-year-old Bregović—who had recently returned to Sarajevo after gigging across Southern Italy for a year as part of an act called Kodeksi that transformed into Mića, Goran i Zoran before folding—gladly accepted. Goran Bregović
Goran Bregović (born 22 March 1950) is a recording artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is one of the most internationally known modern musicians and composers of the Slavic-speaking countries in the Balkans, and is one of the few former Yugoslav musicians who has performed at major international venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and L'Olympia. A Sarajevo native, Bregović started out with Kodeksi and Jutro, but rose to prominence as the main creative mind and lead guitarist of Bijelo Dugme, widely considered one of the most popular and influential recording acts ever to exist in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Željko Bebek
Želimir "Željko" Bebek (born 16 December 1945) is a Bosnian and Croatian vocalist and musician most notable for being the lead singer of former Yugoslav rock band Bijelo Dugme from 1974 to 1984. He also has a successful career as a solo artist. Early years Bebek was born in Sarajevo, PR Bosnia and Herzegovina, FPR Yugoslavia to Bosnian Croat parents Zvonimir and Katarina. He showed an early interest in music, entertaining his mother's house guests by singing songs he heard on the radio. He also experimented with harmonica, but abandoned it in third grade of primary school as he wanted to play guitar and sing along. His teacher, however, discouraged such intentions so Željko ended up playing mandolin instead. He soon became the school's best mandolin player and was allowed to play guitar as a reward. The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. Milić Vukašinović ( sr-cyr, Милић Вукашиновић; born 9 March 1950) is a Yugoslav musician, the founder of the hard rock band Vatreni Poljubac as well as one-time drummer of the famous Yugoslav rock bands Bijelo Dugme and Indexi. A rock'n'roll pioneer in the city of Sarajevo where he spent his formative years, Vukašinović is also known for his composing and songwriting work with some of the biggest Yugoslav commercial folk music stars such as Hanka Paldum and Toma Zdravković. Indexi was a Bosnian and former Yugoslav rock band popular in Yugoslavia. It formed in 1962 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and disbanded in 2001 when singer Davorin Popović died. Some of their most notable songs are "Svijet u kome živim" and "Negdje u kraju, u zatišju" with lyrics by Želimir Altarac Čičak, "Plima", "Sve ove godine", "Sanjam" and "Bacila je sve niz rijeku", which was later covered by many other ex-Yugoslavian groups, notably Crvena jabuka. Indexi formed in 1962, and their name was derived from the "Indeks" which was a student's grade log. They began by making instrumental covers of popular hits, but in 1967 started composing.
