Zimbru Stadium
The Zimbru Stadium () is a football-specific stadium in ChiÈ™inău, Moldova, completed in May 2006 with a capacity of 10,400 people, corresponds to all norms required by UEFA and FIFA for national and international matches. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Zimbru ChiÈ™inău and the Moldova national football team. Architecture The construction of the stadium took 27 months to complete at a cost of almost US$11 million. Conditions The VIP box is reserved for 250 people. Sports journalists have 44 places at their disposal. The arena meets all the requirements for holding official international matches. Sectorul Botanica
Sectorul Botanica is one of the five sectors in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova. Botanica is the most populous (220,000 people) and one of the more scenic districts in Chișinău; it hosts a zoo and a botanical garden. The widest boulevard in Chișinău–Dacia blvd. and the highest buildings also are located in Botanica district. The local administration is managed by a pretor appointed by the city administration. It governs over a portion of the city of Chișinău itself (the southern part), the town of Sîngera, and the commune of Băcioi. The Chișinău International Airport also is located within Botanica district. The density of Russians and Ukrainians is little higher than on other districts of Chișinău. Fotbal Club Dacia Chișinău, commonly known as Dacia Chișinău or simply Dacia, was a Moldovan football club based in Chișinău, which last played in the village of Speia, Anenii Noi. They participated in the Divizia Națională, the top division in Moldovan football. The club's name came from Dacia, an ancient civilization which covered parts of modern Moldova. Established in 1999, it entered the Moldovan "A" Division in 2000 and was promoted to the first division two years later. Moldova National Football Team
The Moldova national football team ( ro, Echipa națională de fotbal a Moldovei) represents Moldova in international football and is controlled by the Moldovan Football Federation, the governing body for football in Moldova. Moldova's home ground is Zimbru Stadium in Chișinău and their head coach is Serghei Cleșcenco. Shortly before the break-up of the Soviet Union, they played their first match against Georgia on 2 July 1991. Two of their three best results in the 1990s came during the qualifiers for UEFA Euro 1996, with wins over Georgia (1–0) in Tbilisi and Wales (3–2) in Chișinău.
